About Us
Point
Engineering, incorporated in the year 2000, is privately owned and committed
to continued development by investing in equipment and machinery, training
and development of skilled personnel and the design and delivery of quality
products. Our base in Kingston Upon Hull (a top 10 UK city and the Gateway
Port to Europe) provides offices and workshop space in excess of 11,000sq/ft
for a compliment of 16 - 20 people. The site is adjacent to the Port of
Hull and on the main route to the motorway network.
We are registered
CIS subcontractors (Construction Industry Scheme) and use the CCNSG passport
scheme for safety training. We are active in promoting the development of
engineering within the city contributing to apprentice schemes and schools
work experience programmes. Corporate membership of the
Hull Engineering Alliance, the Northern Defence Industries and the Marine
Engineering Alliance keeps the company up to date with industry developments.
We also have personal links with the Hull Engineering Association and British
Standards Institute.
The
company has developed and expanded into European and World markets to supply
marine doors and fabrications to shipbuilders, repairers and operators in
the commercial and leisure sectors. 
Our
original core business is in providing Mechanical & Industrial Engineering
services to UK based manufacturing, processing, distribution and energy
companies. Requirements vary across the scope of our day-to-day servicing
of our customers needs, allowing our skilled engineers to apply their knowledge
from one industry to another.
